Lisa Hoffman Skincare Body Oil
Body Care - October 14th, 2009

cb-hoffmanoilThe weather is getting colder in Oregon, and we recently turned the heater back on for the season. Heated air means drier air, means drier skin for Claire. This is not so happy! What does make me happy is Lisa Hoffman Skincare Body Oil, a totally splurge-worthy product that seals in moisture and helps to prevent dry skin. Win!

Part of the Spa Shower line, the Body Oil features sesame oil, macadamia oil, rice bran oil, and squalane, all great botanical oils for softening and nourishing the skin. It’s scented with Japanese Agarwood, one of Lisa Hoffman’s fragrance blends. I think it’s the perfect combination of woodsy, spicy, and green notes, and I just love it in the morning!

The directions say to apply the oil to wet skin after showering, to seal in moisture. I’ve tried it this way, and also by applying it to my skin after drying off, and I have to say that I like the wet-skin version better. It just feels so nice! It’s very non-greasy, so whether you towel-dry or drip-dry, you won’t feel all oily and nasty. If I have time, I’ll try to mostly drip-dry, but even if I have to towel off, it doesn’t stain my towels. The scent sticks around for a little while, though not all day.

The splurge part is because it’s $29 for only 4 oz., but if you aren’t using it every day that’ll still last you for a while. I give it two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Yep, gotta agree. Used it myself this morning. I really think it is almost like a “dry” oil in the way it soaks in and doesn’t feel greasy. I am so-so on the scent tho, but I think it is because it tends to mix with the scent of whatever body wash I have just used. I think if I just applied it to dry skin later, it wouldn’t be a problem.
