EOTD: Predatory Topiary
Eyeshadow - January 26th, 2012

I totally stole this EOTD idea! My dear friend Amanda from Karmic Dreaming told me she was wearing these colors today, and I realized I had all three in my stash! She was right, it’s subtle but pretty. WHAT IS IT? Detrivore Cosmetics’ Predatory, Topiary, and Mimicry. These lovely neutral colors would suit just about any complexion and make a nice, work-friendly look to boot.

I used Predatory in the inner corners and under the brow bone. Predatory is a frost pink satin color filled with white shimmer. It’s quite pale and perfectly lovely. Topiary, a light brown taupe with white shimmer (get it? Taupiary? I’m such a dork…) went in the outer corners. Srsly though, if you like taupe, you must have this taupe. It’s possibly my favorite. Mimicry is a darker taupe color with white shimmer, and I used it in the crease. It a perfect match to deepen Topiary for a perfectly blended look. I used a dark brown Jordana eyeliner (it’s called Brown Suede). You can’t beat these liners – cheap, long wearing and Made In The USA!

Today’s blush is Apocalyptic, also from Detrivore. Apocalyptic is a light pink satin blush filled with red and pink shimmer. It’s so pretty! The lipstick is from Sephora, the Glamour formula lipstick in Lilac Lyric 08. I like the semi-sheer, moisturizing formula but I’m not crazy about the fruity smell so I don’t wear it often. It’s a fun color though, when you want something pale pink but not opaque.

I keep forgetting to write my scent of the day on these posts! Doh! Today’s was OHWTO’s Serendipity Solid Scent. Serendipity is composed of strawberries, blackberries, currants, a breath of freesia, light musk, herbal sage, mysore sandalwood, and a bit of dank oakmoss.
