A Little Dianoche Perfume
Perfume, Reviews - April 21st, 2009

DianocheHere’s another Kohls Find: Daisy Fuentes Dianoche Love. If you want a soft, pretty fragrance for spring & summer, check it out. It’s actually two perfumes in one!

Dianoche Love has a very pretty bottle, with a rounded bottom and a long neck. The bottle is very cleverly designed, with a sprayer for the bottom part hidden by the base of the neck. The bottom scent is called Dia and is supposed to be for daytime wear and the top is Noche – yes, for nighttime.

Dia is a soft floral featuring notes of frangipani, peony, Italian mandarin, water lily, white peach, butterfly jasmine, amber, sandalwood and creamy skin accord. It’s not particularly fruity but is on the sweet side. I find it sparkling, light, and pleasant and very practical for daytime wear. Lasting power is shorter than I’d like, but then florals do tend to fade quickly on me. Layering with a similarly scented lotion would make it last longer.

Noche is also a floral fragrance, with notes of gardenia, Italian mandarin, peony, white peach, jasmine absolute, butterfly jasmine, teak, amber and creamy vanilla. It is similar to Dia (they share many notes) but has a warmer, creamier feel to it. I personally think a person could wear Noche during the day and not overwhelm anyone. It’s still very pleasant and pretty, as opposed to heavy or cloying.

Of the two, I think I like Noche a little more, since I really like the vanilla notes. But they are both great and would probably be great mixed together too. I’ll have to try that.

Daisy Fuentes Dianoche Love is $42.50 at Kohls and Kohls.com.
