Aromaleigh Nourishing Lip Color Cremes (and a little Fyrinnae)
Eyeshadow, Hot Lips - August 18th, 2009

cb-aromaleighmelanAfter the eyeshadows, I think my favorite product in Aromaleigh’s Gothic Lolita line has to be the Nourishing Lip Color Creme. With six different colors ranging from light to dark, there’s a color for every occasion, and they are all so pretty!

The Nourishing Lip Color Cremes are housed in a twist-up tube, much like a lip balm. Like a lip balm, they are rich in ingredients specially chosen for their ability to nourish and sooth your lips, like shea butter, cocoa butter, meadowfoam oil, and jojoba oil. The colors are all sweet and girly, with names like Lollypop (a delightful cherry red) and Shortcake (sweet wearable pink pearl).

cb-cravingstrawberryWhat I like best about this product is how it combines the ease of a lip balm with bright colors. My favorite color is Shortcake, but Melancholia’s wine color (pictured above) is really pretty too. The samples are definitely enough for multiple applications, especially if you use a lip brush to apply it. They also taste really good! I’m wearing Shortcake in this picture, along with Strawberry Despair and Little Craving eyeshadows.

I don’t love the texture quite as much as Nourishing Color Creme, but if it’s bright pigmented color you want (in colors including bright blue and purple) they will fit the bill. I bought Fanservice on a whim, and while it’s a bit much applied thickly, it is fun worn sheer with lip balm. The picture has a heavier application, so you can see the opacity of the color.
