EOTD: Little Green Theos
Cat, Eyeshadow - Comments (1) - February 4th, 2013

Having gone through various shades of browns this week, and then purple, I decided that today’s makeup needed to feature green colors. I used my always-favorite color Theo from Black Rose Minerals, as well as a Meow Cosmetics green. Bonus today: A picture of Theo!

I put Theo, a light fawn with a green duochrome and green sparkles, on the lid. The crease color is Little Green Men, a Halloween color from Meow Cosmetics. Little Green Men is a sparkly pine green with flashes of green sparkle and iridescence. It’s a great dark green. I used Lobotomy, from Detrivore Cosmetics, to highlight. The eyeliner is Milani Cosmetics’ Liquid Eye Mechanical Eyeliner in Green.

The blush is Thing, a pale peachy color, from Detrivore. The lip color is Shiro Cosmetics’ Why Not Zoidberg? Intertube. Isn’t it the best coral-y color?

I snapped a quick pic of Theo the other morning, looking all handsome.

EOTD: First Day
Eyeshadow - Comments (2) - January 30th, 2013

Today was the first day of school. I decided to wear Black Rose Mineral’s Tiger Lily, because it’s such a great color. It came out a little messier than I’d like, but it mostly looks okay I think.

Tiger Lily is a neutral peachy tan with just a touch of pinky red spakles. Using a sticky base will make it appear more sparkly. The crease color is Premature Burial, an earthy brown glistens with pink and gold sparkles. The highlight color is from Shiro Cosmetics, a limited edition sparkly white color.

I’ve been using this eyeliner from Physician’s Formula, the Shimmer Strips Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Trio, Blue Eyes set. I know I don’t have blue eyes, but I really wanted the navy blue color, along with the brown color and black color. I used the brown color here. I need to do a review of these on their own, but needless to say, I’m really kind of digging the texture and formula.

The blush is Gallows, from Detrivore Cosmetics. I forgot to put on a lip color before I took the picture! Doh!! I wore L’Oreal’s Infallible Gloss in Coral Sands.

EOTD: Theo Manipulation
Eyeshadow - Comments Off - December 24th, 2012

This is the first look I did with a Eccentric Cosmetics color. I used my beloved Theo from Black Rose Minerals, and paired it with Biological Manipulation. I think it came out really well! Biological Manipulation is an awesome color!

Theo is a light fawn with a green duochrome and green sparkles. It’s basically my favorite taupe-y color EVER. Biological Manipulation is a metallic coppery rose which shifts to metallic golden sheen over a olive green base. Detrivore Cosmetics Lobotomy is the highlight color, under the browbone and in the inner corners. I used a new eyeliner, the brown color from a Physician’s Formula Custom Eye Enhancing Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Trio. I am really liking these kohl eyeliners, I’ll be doing a more comprehensive review soon.

The blush is Detrivore Cosmetics’ Clotted. The lipgloss is Shiro Cosmetics’ Holiday Gloss in Red Ryder.

EOTD: Burnt Turkey Meow
Eyeshadow - Comments (3) - November 23rd, 2012

This was Thanksgiving’s eye makeup, and naturally I HAD to use one of my favorite Meow Cosmetics’ colors – Burnt Turkey. It’s from the 12 Pains of Xmas collection, and I like it enough I bought a full-size two years ago. Let me take a moment to say that the holiday time is MY FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR FOR MEOW COLORS. (My second favorite is Halloween.) I LOVE LOVE LOVE Meow’s holiday collections, and am powerless to resist ordering more each year.

The lid color is Joy, from the Holiday Wishes collection. Joy is a golden color with some red sparks going on. It’s another one of my Meow full sizes. Burnt Turkey is a metallic charcoal with umber and gold iridescent undertone, which I used in the crease. It’s soooo pretty, one of my favorite dark brown type colors. I used Faye, from Black Rose Minerals to highlight. The eyeliner is Benefit’s Bad Gal Kohl Pencil.

I used Detrivore Cosmetics’ Thing blush. Thing is a shimmery peach blush, very very flattering. Today (November 23rd) only, Detrivore is offering 50% off, so GO GO GO!

The lipstick is Awake Cosmetics’ Autumn Red.

EOTD: Chimera Skink
Eyeshadow - Comments (2) - November 11th, 2012

Sooo… the only reason this hasn’t been posted yet is because I am not 100% positive which Shiro Cosmetics color I used. DOH. Anyway, this was pre-pinkeye, so it’s about three weeks old. I’m really happy with how it came out though, so I still wanted to use it. It’s (probably) Chimera, with an old favorite Black Rose Minerals color.

The lid color is Skink, from Black Rose Minerals. Skink is one of my favorite neutral taupe-y colors to use. Skink is a champagne-y pinky-beige color. I’m almost positive the crease color is Shiro’s Chimera – a tarnished gold and silver shimmer over a blackened background. (It could be Homunculus, that’s the other possibility.) Either way, they’re both freaking awesome and you should get them! The highlight is Detrivore’s Lobotomy, my favorite sheer gold color. I used a dark brown eyeliner.

The blush is from The Body Shop, a discontinued pale rose color. The lip balm is from Burt’s Bees, their Tinted Lip Balm in Honeysuckle. This is a great color for a sheer nude lip. I really like their tinted lip balms, they have a nice texture, pretty colors, and aren’t made with the attack-strength peppermint oil that their regular lip balm has.

EOTD: Nic Cage Raking Leaves On A Brisk October Afternoon
Eyeshadow, Hot Lips - Comments (5) - October 21st, 2012

I bought Shiro Cosmetics’ Color of The Month because, well, I had to. I mean, LOOK AT IT. It’s sooo pretty. I also know who inspired it, and that means it was a must have, since that lady is pretty much one of my best friends.

So, Nic Cage Raking Leaves On A Brisk October Afternoon is October’s Color Of The Month. It’s a deep, rich coffee brown-black loaded with gold and red sparkles. If you like browns, and you know I like browns, it’s pretty much a must-have color. It is quite sparkly, so use a sticky base to make sure all your sparkles stay on your eyes! I used it with Meowth (now called Whiteout), a shimmery cream color. I used Everything Is Bears with a damp brush to line the upper and lower lashlines. Black Rose Minerals’ Faye is the highlight.

The blush is Larenim Forbidden Flush. The lipgloss is from Shiro Cosmetics’ Halloween collection – it’s This is Halloween. It tastes like chocolate pumpkin cheesecake, is the perfect red-orange color (heavier on the red) and has a perfect texture. I’m so glad I ordered it!

EOTD: Sinister Burial
Eyeshadow - Comments (4) - October 17th, 2012

Luna, from Toxid-Lotus, asked me to use Sinister Urge and Premature Burial from Black Rose Minerals together, to see how they look. Being the ever-so-helpful gal that I am, I was happy to oblige. So, I present to you SINISTER BURIAL with a dash of FAYE!

Sinister Urge
, a light blue with a red sheen, is the lid color. Hoo boy, is this one pretty. I just love this color. The crease color is Premature Burial, an earthy brown with pink and gold sparkles. It takes on an almost purple-y look when paired with blue. I used Faye, a light and airy yellow with a delicate red duochrome highlight, in the inner corners and under the browbone. I LOVE FAYE. I used a damp brush with more Premature Burial to line the upper and lower lashlines.

The blush is Bare Escentuals Secret. The lipgloss is Silk Naturals’ Kisser Slicker in Sugar.

EOTD: Tank Runes
Eyeshadow - Comments (3) - October 14th, 2012

Today’s eyeshadow features a color from Black Rose Minerals’ Luciferi collection. All the Luciferi colors are pretty blackened shades, and this green one is a particular favorite. I also used a Madd Style Cosmetics color and some more Meow Cosmetics.

The lid color is Tank Girl, from Madd Style Cosmetics. It’s an army green with hot pink and kelly green glitter. The crease color is Runes, from Black Rose Minerals. Runes is a forest green with a black base. I also used Runes with a damp brush to line the upper and lower lashlines. The highlight color is Skelecat, from Meow Cosmetics. I used the BADgal kohl pencil from Benefit to deepen up the eyeliner as well.

I used Detivore Cosmetics’ Criminal blush. The shimmery beige color is rapidly becoming my favorite blush ever. The lipstick is L’Oreal Colour Riche in Chocolate Spice.
