EOTD: Grape Mad Cows
Eyeshadow - Comments (2) - January 31st, 2013

I decided it’s been way too long since I wore some purple. So I pulled out some great purples to wear, along with a bright lip color. My Pretty Zombie makes a bunch of pretty purples, but I picked Mad Cow to wear today.

Mad Cow is a mid tone purple with a blue shift. The shift is more apparent if you use a stick base, which I forgot to do. The crease color is MAC’s Grape pigment. I used Meow Cosmetic’s Bubble Bath to highlight under the brow bone and in the inner corners. The eyeliner is from L’Oreal, Violet Volt.

I used Detrivore Cosmetics’ Poison blush. It’s still probably my favorite blush color to wear. The lipstick is MAC’s Style Curve. The brow Drama is a brow gel/mascara that comes in dark brown, medium brown and clear. I personally use Dark brown even though I’m blond. It gives the brows volume and definition and you’ll find that you have brow hairs you didn’t even know existed, honestly I always try my best to take care of my brows, Brow Threading seems to work wonders, it allows you to have greater control over which hairs are removed

I have to stop tweezing my eyebrows so that they’re nice and bushy for one of my classmates to wax off when we start doing that in three weeks. It’s gonna suck! (I can’t shave my legs either, but at least no one can see that since it’s winter and I wear pants!)

EOTD: Homunculus MDMA
Eyeshadow - Comments (3) - November 24th, 2012

Since it’s the weekend, and I haven’t worn Oh Hey Let’s Go Nuts With Sparkles eyeshadow in ages, I decided to bust out some bright colors and have a little fun today. I’m wearing MDMA from My Pretty Zombie with Homunculus from Shiro Cosmetics, and I think they look nice together!

MDMA is a rosy pink with gold afterglow, and it’s really stunning. It’s one of my favorite pink colors. Homunculus is a shimmery dark grey base with bright sparks of red. I’m addicted to Shiro’s dark gray/charcoal colors for their richness and ease of application. I used Unicorn Pee to highlight, because I wanted all those crazy rainbow sparkles. I used Pixy Epoxy underneath it all to make it stick. The eyeliner is L’Oreal HiP Color Chrome Eyeliner in Black Shock. I also applied more Homunculus to the lower lashline.

The blush is from Silk Naturals, it’s Guava. Guava is a sheer, nude mauve blush. The lipgloss is L’Oreal Infallible Lipgloss in Suede – one of my favorite colors from L’Oreal.

EOTD: Flash Accident
Eyeshadow - Comments (2) - October 10th, 2012

Since it’s available for purchase now, I wanted to to show off another cool Meow Cosmetics color from the Friday the 13th collection: Accident. I used it with one of my favorite Silk Naturals colors and a new blush from Detrivore Cosmetics.

Accident is a metallic copper shade with a dark undertone and gleaming metallic iridescent fire. It’s really, really pretty. If I can scrape up the dough, I want to get this in a full size before the end of the month. BTW, if any of the Friday the 13th colors appeal, get ‘em before the end of October because you’ll have to wait until September 2013 before it’ll be back again. Flash, from Silk Naturals, is one of those great neutral colors with lots of shimmer. It’s a complex gold color with a hint of silver and diamond pearl. It pairs nicely with a variety of colors, so it’s a good neutral to have in your collection. I use Peepshow from My Pretty Zombie in the inner corners and under the browbone. The eyeliner is from L’Oreal, a discontinued burgundy color.

two new blush shades are awesomely awesome. I’ll admit, they look pretty “meh” in the jar. But put them on, and they are just wonderfully flattering and subtle. They are perfect for anyone who wants easy-to-wear, subtle colors that enhance your complexion. Criminal, what I’m wearing here, is just a subtle flush of color. It is a great everyday goes with everything kind of blush.

The lip color is Nars lipgloss in Rose Birman.

EOTD: Skelecat LSD
Eyeshadow - Comments (2) - July 6th, 2012

I’m a little late posting this, but anyway. This is the makeup I did for the 4th of July. I wanted to wear some brighter colors and sparkles, so this worked out well. Unfortunately, my allergies went haywire about an hour after I put on makeup and it got all smeary. I was not happy. Stupid allergies. Anyway, I used colors from Meow Cosmetics, Black Rose Minerals, and My Pretty Zombie, and at least I got good pictures before the allergy attack!

In the inner corners I used Meow’s Skelecat, a white gold with greenish iridescence. Skelecat is from the Halloween Zombies collection. The outer corners are Lemon Bar, from Black Rose Minerals. Lemon Bar is a shiny golden yellow. The crease color is My Pretty Zombie’s LSD, a muted gray plum with a groovy red to gold shift. The highlight color is Law Firm Lamb Cake, also from MPZ. Law Firm Lamb Cake has a pink shimmer base and pastel multi colored glitter. I used Pixie Epoxy to make the glitter really stick. I used L’Oreal HiP Kohl Eyeliner in black on the waterline, and a discontinued L’Oreal HiP pencil on the upper lashline (it’s a burgundy color).

The blush is Thing, from Detrivore Cosmetics. You need Thing. It’s a pale peachy shimmery color that looks good on everyone. The lipstick is Viva Glam Cyndi from MAC.

I wanted to play with LSD, which has become one of my favorite colors from My Pretty Zombie. But I wanted to keep things more subtle, so I picked a pale pink color to go with it. Dot from Black Rose Minerals fit the bill perfectly.

LSD is a muted gray plum with a groovy red to gold shift. It’s kind of hard to describe, really, but needless to say it looks AWESOME on. Dot is a delicate pale pink color with sparkle. I used Pixie Epoxy to keep all the sparkles in place. The highlight is Ice Princess from Pumpkin & Poppy. The eyeliner is a limited edition color from L’Oreal HiP – it’s a burgundy-purple color.

The blush is Bloodbath from Detrivore Cosmetics. It looks scary dark in the jar but lovely on the skin. Just use a crumb for best results! The lip color is Pomegranate Crush Lip & Cheek Stain from Stila.

EOTD: Theo Thundernuts
Eyeshadow - Comments (2) - May 12th, 2012

I’ve been feeling like wearing more neutral colors lately, but not too neutral. I used my beloved Theo with Thundernuts from My Pretty Zombie, because both have some fun colored sparkles going on.

Theo, from Black Rose Minerals, is a light fawn with a green duochrome and green sparkles. You can now buy Theo in a super-awesome collection! Thundernuts is a light brown with a blue shift (it sparkles too!). Use a sticky base for maximum sparklage from both these colors. I used Divinity from Persephone Minerals to highlight. The eyeliner is VS Makeup Eyeliner in Dark Chocolate.

The blush color is Clotted and Thing, both from Detrivore Cosmetics, mixed together. The lipstick is Funbathing from MAC.

EOTD: Pink March
Eyeshadow - Comments (1) - March 22nd, 2012

Blogger problems: take a picture of your makeup and then completely forget what it was by the time you are ready to write the blog post. Luckily I remembered eventually what I used, but when I started editing the pictures (cropping and resizing) I couldn’t remember. So today’s EOTD is called Pink March because there’s pink, and it’s March. Creative, I know. Anyway, I did finally remember what I’m wearing – it’s My Pretty Zombie and Silk Naturals!

The lid color is Flash, from Silk Naturals. Flash is a very shimmery complex gold color with a hint of silver and diamond pearl. It’s really pretty, and one of my favorite neutrals. The crease color is MDMA from My Pretty Zombie. It’s a really awesome pink with a gold shift. It’s so pretty!! The highlight is Buttercream Bliss from Persephone Minerals.

The blush is Thing from Detrivore Cosmetics. BTW, I heard a rumor that Detrivore will be releasing new blushes soon! Are you excited? I’m excited. The lip color is Amaranth from Morgana Cryptoria.

EOTD: LSD Cupcake
Eyeshadow - Comments Off - March 17th, 2012

I had a terrible time getting good pictures of today’s makeup. I just didn’t like how any of the pictures were turning out. Which is weird, because they probably look fine. But my hair was doing this funny thing on one side, and I feel like I have the crazy eyes look. Oh well. I wanted to play with another new My Pretty Zombie color, so that’s what I did!

The lighter lid color is Cupcake Not A Muffin from RockABetty Beauty. Cupcake Not A Muffin is a pink to orange color shifting duochrome, loaded with burnt orange glitter. It goes really nicely with LSD, from My Pretty Zombie. LSD (which doesn’t actually contain any illegal substances, promise) is a muted gray plum with a groovy red to gold shift. It’s super-pretty! I used Kingslayer from Geek Chic Cosmetics to highlight.

I really want to try the Drugs Like Me blushes now. Luna swears by MDMA. I have the MDMA eyeshadow (still to be worn!) and I’m pretty much thinking I need the other three eyeshadows too. Too much pretty going on.

Today’s blush is Gallows from Detrivore Cosmetics. Gallows is a deep pinkish red shade with a satin texture and shimmer. The lipstick is from L’Occitane.
