EOTD: Theo Meow
Eyeshadow - Comments (1) - July 21st, 2012

Meow Cosmetics is doing a Xmas in July thing for a limited time, so I wanted to use a color from one of the Xmas collections. Meow Mistletoe is one of their best-selling holiday colors, for good reason! I used it with Theo, my beloved shade from Black Rose Minerals.

I used Theo on the lid. Theo is a light fawn with a green duochrome and green sparkles. The crease color is Meow Mistletoe, a glistening kelly green aglow with gold sparkle! I used Skelecat, a Meow Halloween color, to highlight in the inner corners and under the browbone. Skelecat is a white with gold and green iridescence. The eyeliner is from Meow’s Caribbean Escape Feliner collection. It’s Seasick, an intense teal glistening with aqua sparkle and green iridescence. I used it wet, with a fine brush.

Instead of regular blush, I used a Meow Crystalline Cat Glow Powder in Topaz on my cheeks instead. Topaz is a peachy color.

The lip color is from Silk Naturals. It’s the Foreplay Kisser Slicker gloss.

EOTD: She Juiced
Eyeshadow - Comments (2) - May 13th, 2012

The weather has been amazing in Portland this week, so I decided to do some fun “summer” kinds of things with my makeup. This was today’s effort, involving two of my favorite colors from Silk Naturals and an awesome hot pink.

The pale gold color is Juiced, from Silk Naturals. Juiced is a pale gold with suede pearl finish, and a fair amount of gold glimmer. I used a sticky base for maximum glimmer adhesion. Heat is a deep coppery orange tone with a silky pearl finish. I put Heat in the outer corners. The hot pink color is She Bop from Madd Style Cosmetics. She Bop is a bright, deep pink color with a silvery shimmer and aqua glitter. The highlight is Kingslayer from Geek Chic Cosmetics. The eyeliner on the upper lashline is Milani’s Infinite Liquid Liner in Forever. The lower lashline is a taupe eye pencil (it’s a discontinued color).

I mixed my Lush Colour Supplement with moisturizer today rather than my usual mineral foundation. I did brush on some mattifying powder on top though. The blush is Orchid Convertible Color from Stila – which they don’t seem to carry anymore. It’s a deep plum kind of color.

The lip gloss is Gloss Pur from Yves Saint Laurent and is 04 Pure Raspberry. I don’t wear it nearly enough, it’s a fun color for summer.

EOTD: Phantom Window
Eyeshadow - Comments (3) - May 11th, 2012

It seemed like a good day to wear some softer colors, so I used two of my favorites from Silk Naturals. Phantom, the lighter pink color, is part of the Eyelights collection. According to their website, Eyelights are unique to Silk Naturals. When applied dry, they’re a silky somewhat sheer soft pearl texture. When applied over over a sticky base the base color deepens, and the highlights pop out to create a lit from within glow.

Phantom is a very light, almost sheer pearl pink with pearlescent golden highlights when applied dry. Applied over a sticky base, it blooms to a soft golden peach glow. The crease color is Defenestrate. Defenestrate (means to throw something out the window) is a reddish plum color with coppery golden highlights. I love this color! Definitely use a sticky base (like Pixie Epoxy) for best results! I used Kingslayer from Geek Chic Cosmetics to highlight. The eyeliner is Jordana Easyliner in Purple Fusion.

The blush is Concubine, from Detrivore Cosmetics. Concubine is a great color – a faded mauve color. It looks alarming in the jar, but just fantastic on skin. The lip gloss is Sephora Collection Glossy Gloss in Christmas Candy – a sheer raspberry with iridescent glitter.

EOTD: Purple Sunday
Eyeshadow - Comments (3) - April 12th, 2012

It was another beer date! LOL. This seems to be the hip thing to do on a Sunday around here. I’m wearing purple and blue from Madd Style Cosmetics, highlighted with a bit of gold.

The lid color is Illuminati. Illuminati is a silvery purple with green iridescence and blue glitter. The green isn’t very pronounced, especially if you don’t pair it with green. The crease color is Foux Du Fafa, a cornflower blue with lots of copper and gold glitz. I love the glitters in this one – use a sticky base so they really stay on! The highlight is Lobotomy, from Detrivore Cosmetics. The eyeliner is L’Oreal HiP Eyeliner in Violet Volt.

On my cheeks I have Poison blush, also from Detrivore. I love this light pink color. I brushed a sparkly powder from Stila on top for extra fun. The lip color is Sugar Kisser Slicker from Silk Naturals.

EOTD: Pink March
Eyeshadow - Comments (1) - March 22nd, 2012

Blogger problems: take a picture of your makeup and then completely forget what it was by the time you are ready to write the blog post. Luckily I remembered eventually what I used, but when I started editing the pictures (cropping and resizing) I couldn’t remember. So today’s EOTD is called Pink March because there’s pink, and it’s March. Creative, I know. Anyway, I did finally remember what I’m wearing – it’s My Pretty Zombie and Silk Naturals!

The lid color is Flash, from Silk Naturals. Flash is a very shimmery complex gold color with a hint of silver and diamond pearl. It’s really pretty, and one of my favorite neutrals. The crease color is MDMA from My Pretty Zombie. It’s a really awesome pink with a gold shift. It’s so pretty!! The highlight is Buttercream Bliss from Persephone Minerals.

The blush is Thing from Detrivore Cosmetics. BTW, I heard a rumor that Detrivore will be releasing new blushes soon! Are you excited? I’m excited. The lip color is Amaranth from Morgana Cryptoria.

EOTD: Imaginary Viola
Eyeshadow - Comments (2) - February 15th, 2012

I wanted to try out another color I got recently from RockABetty Beauty, Imaginary Friend. It’s a delicious pink color! Is it possible to own too many pink colors? Naw, never mind. That’s crazy talk. Incidentally, I’ve had this song stuck in my head all day. It’s a pink, pink, pink, pink, pink moon…

Imaginary Friend is pink with silver and aqua sparkles and tons of turquoise glitter. Use it with a sticky base to really make the sparklies sparkle! I used Viola, from Brazen Cosmetics as the crease color. Viola is a brownish purple with brilliant sparkles. Depending on what you wear it with, it’ll look more or less purple. With this pink color, it’s definitely leaning more purple than brown. My Pretty Zombie’s Law Firm Lamb Cake is the highlight. The eyeliner is Milani Infinite Liquid Liner in Endless. On the lower lashline, I used Chivalry, from Morgana Cryptoria. It’s a lavender color with green sparkles.

Today’s blush is Forbidden from Silk Naturals. This is a GREAT color. I want a lip color in this color too. I’m wearing Epiphany gloss from Brazen Cosmetics. Epiphany is a clear gloss with a ton of purple shimmer. I LOVE this color. I’m so excited because I ordered Crazy Cat Lady, a Valentine’s limited edition gloss from Brazen… I love the formula!

EOTD: Valentine’s With RockABetty Beauty
Eyeshadow, Hot Lips - Comments (3) - February 15th, 2012

I got my order from RockABetty Beauty yesterday, so I used some of the new products for today’s EOTD. It’s Valentines, so I had to use some pink. Pink and brown is one of my favorite combinations (it reminds me of Neapolitan ice cream) so I also used the ever-popular Nutella Whore.

The pink color is Cupcake Not A Muffin. Cupcake Not A Muffin is a pink to orange color shifting duochrome, loaded with burnt orange glitter. It’s REALLY pretty! Nutella Whore is an awesome brown color, a dark chocolate infused with bright pink glittering reflecks! It’s one of my favorite brown colors, because of all the sparkles. I used Detrivore Cosmetics’ Lobotomy to highlight.

Today’s blush is Babydoll from Silk Naturals. I think I could have used just a little more, I look kinda pale… oh well!

The lipgloss is also from RockABetty, called Collecting Souls. It’s a pale, soft ‘ballerina’ pink with these awesome pink sparkles. I really like the RABB gloss formula – it’s definitely one of my favorite indie gloss formulas around.

My sweetie gave me chocolates for Valentine’s today. *happy*

EOTD: Icarus & Cinnamon
Complexion, Eyeshadow - Comments Off - January 8th, 2012

Today I felt like doing something to remind me of sunshine (of which we are actually getting a little in Portland today) so I used some yellow and orange colors. Black Rose Minerals has some really nice ones, and I used a sparkly color from J. Lynne Cosmetics.

In the inner corners I used Icarus from Black Rose Minerals. Icarus is an egg-like yellow, pale but pretty. On the outer corners I used Helios, a bright orange color. The crease color is Cinnamon from J. Lynne Cosmetics. Cinnamon is a warm bronze with copper tones and golden sparks. It looks really pretty with Helios! The highlight color is Divinity from Persephone Minerals.

I’m wearing Heavenly Glow from Silk Naturals as blush. This is a really pretty color! Heavenly is a very pretty peach color with hints of gold sparkle, and is a dupe for MAC’s Stereo Rose Mineralize Skin Finish. I have never tried Stereo Rose, but I love Heavenly! I’m wearing Brazen’s Lip Gloss in Dharma.
